Delicious, Decadent Cape Sable Island Lobster Dip

Even better the next day when the flavours all meld.If there is any left. We often double this at Christmas.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup grated onion
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped lobster
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2/3 cup real mayonaise (not salad dressing)
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 pkg cream cheese, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Put first three ingredients in food processor and blend well, until lobster is shredded ( to save time and dishes, I use my food processor to grate the onion first then switch to the blade)
  2. Mix remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
  3. Pour into food processor bowl with lobster, onion and garlic and blend till smooth.Salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve cold or hot. Makes approximately 2 1/2 cups of dip.
