Asian Salad

This is my favorite way to eat tatsoi . I ordered these seeds from Bakers Creek about 5 years ago and have been saving the seeds, and growing them every year since.

PS this was not on the menu tonight but I couldn’t resist when I had such a beautiful harvest from the cold frame this afternoon. And we had to bump pork chops to tonight because of a medical appointment yesterday.

Flexibility is your best kitchen tool !

Asian salad

Tatsoi or bok choy

Yellow peppers

Red onion

Mandarin oranges

Slivered almonds

Crispy fried onions

Toss together and top with

Asian Dressing

1 cup sunflower/olive/avacado oil (your choice )

1/2 cup rice vinegar

1/4 cup soya sauce

2 tsps cane sugar

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1 minced garlic clove

Garden produce equivalent project 2022

Homegrown Garlic – one clove produces one $.50 head/ 6 cloves=$0.08 /clove

Walmart organic. 2.97 head / 6 cloves =

$0.50 /clove

Tatsoi -saved seed =$0/head

Organic tatsoi – Vegehome $4.75 /head plus $15.00 delivery (!!!)
