Bulk Taco Spice Seasoning

I use jars that can’t be used for canning to store my bulk herbs, and seasonings.

You know what I hate? When things are so easy to make but when you want to make them, even a few extra minutes matter. Tacos are our go to for quick, no think suppers. And it’s so easy to use one of those little packages (that are full of too many things I can’t pronounce) to get a robust full taco flavour.

BUT…..when I am organized enough to have made a big batch of bulk taco seasoning up ahead of time, it is a game changer. Just stored in a mason jar on the shelf for up to six months, although it never lasts that long, it is just waiting to rescue us on those nights when everything collides. Plus I can pronounce every single ingredient and some of them I have even grown myself.

I usually just sprinkle a few tablespoons on after my meat is browned, and add roughly half a cup of water, and simmer till water is evaporated. et voila!
