Maple Glazed Squash

This is what eating seasonal looks like. Maple syrup season is upon us soon, and the squash is holding strong from the root cellar. this is a lovely 10 minute side dish everyone loves.

A squash bonanza harvest is always welcome here . This was harvested late last fall.

Maple Glazed Squash

A 10 minute delicious seasonal side dish
Servings: 6
Course: Side Dish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large butternut squash roughly 4 cups of chopped and diced squash
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Method
 

  1. Peel, chop, and dice squash into roughly 1 inch cubes.
  2. In a large dutch oven, put squash, water, maple syrup salt, pepper, and butter and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat and kept a simmer for 10 minutes or until squash is cooked through and liquid is reduced to a glaze. Stir frequently.
A warm winter farm to table meal-dig in!
