This is what eating seasonal looks like. Maple syrup season is upon us soon, and the squash is holding strong from the root cellar. this is a lovely 10 minute side dish everyone loves.
Maple Glazed Squash
A 10 minute delicious seasonal side dish
- 1 large butternut squash roughly 4 cups of chopped and diced squash
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Peel, chop, and dice squash into roughly 1 inch cubes.
- In a large dutch oven, put squash, water, maple syrup salt, pepper, and butter and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and kept a simmer for 10 minutes or until squash is cooked through and liquid is reduced to a glaze. Stir frequently.
